888 Mansion is a residence inspired by Chinese and European design, set within the agricultural landscape of Richmond, British Columbia. Its columned entrance introduces a house of substantial proportions, with a central hall, formal sitting and dining areas, an upper gallery, a residential kitchen and an indoor pool.
The property is best understood as a sequence of spaces. There is the height and symmetry of the grand hall, the daylight of the salon, the detail of the dining areas and the colour of the pool room. Together, they provide different atmospheres for a gathering or a creative production.

The arrival at Sidaway Road
The approach to 888 Mansion is defined by its columned stone portico and fountain. The covered entrance creates a strong architectural frame, with the residence extending to either side. It gives guests a clear point of arrival and provides a recognisable exterior for portraits, fashion photography and establishing shots.
For an event, this is where the guest experience begins. For a production, it offers stonework, symmetry and an outdoor setting that contrasts with the interiors. Vehicle movements, equipment and arrival arrangements are discussed for each booking.
The central hall brings together the most distinctive features of the residence: two curved staircases, an upper gallery, dark timber floors and a painted ceiling. Its open volume allows the architecture to be seen from several levels and directions.
A planner may see a place to welcome guests or arrange a reception. A location manager may see an entrance scene, a formal interior or a wide architectural composition. The room can be assessed during a visit against the proposed layout, equipment and programme.
The salon offers a more intimate view of the mansion. Tall windows bring daylight into a sitting area furnished with decorative seating and framed by the curved gallery above. The room retains the character of a private residence, even within the scale of the larger house.
It is a space to consider for a small gathering, guest reception, portrait session or interview setup. A viewing can help establish seating arrangements and camera angles, as well as how the salon relates to other rooms in your programme.
Dining areas within the estate offer a setting for occasions built around food and conversation. The timber floors, decorative furnishings and surrounding gallery create a formal residential atmosphere for private dining concepts, hosted receptions and photographed table settings.
A dining event begins with the guest list and style of service. Your planner or caterer can review the proposed room, table arrangement, service access and timing so that the meal fits naturally into the wider occasion.
Dark cabinetry, stone worktops, a central island and windows give the kitchen a character of its own. For culinary or lifestyle content, the island creates a natural focal point within a fully furnished residential interior.
For a dining occasion, your caterer can review the kitchen alongside the proposed service and table arrangements. Kitchen access, equipment and supplier requirements are agreed in the booking proposal.
The indoor pool is surrounded by pale blue walls, tall windows and arched glazing. The water and natural light give this room a different visual character from the formal hall and sitting areas, adding another distinct setting within the same property.
For a creative team, it provides colour, reflections and a long perspective through the room. Poolside filming, staged photography and any proposed water activity are reviewed separately, with access and equipment arrangements defined before the booking.
The wood-lined sauna introduces a smaller, more contained interior to the property. Its timber surfaces and bench seating provide a contrast to the bright pool room and ornate spaces elsewhere in the mansion.
The sauna can be discussed as part of a location scout or a wider room-access request. The spaces and amenities included in an event or production booking are set out in the proposal.
The residence includes eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms, in addition to its principal gathering spaces, indoor pool and sauna. Individual bedrooms and the whole mansion are available for short-term rental. The rooms, shared spaces and amenities included are confirmed for your booking.
The approximately 87,120-square-foot property places the house within Richmond’s agricultural surroundings. If your plans include exterior photography, guest arrival or outdoor elements, discuss the specific areas during your viewing so that the proposal reflects the spaces you intend to use.
Every visit starts with what you have in mind. Bring your planner, your photographer or your location team, and explore how the architecture could support the occasion.
Tell us the rooms, duration and privacy you need. The proposal will confirm the areas included and the access arrangements for your occasion.
